Y Combinator is now investing $500,000 in companies in their accelerator

Wow I mean we knew it would eventually come but as an accelerator, investing $500,000 in early-stage companies, some of which are pre-seed is an amazing offer for participating startups.

If you don’t know who Y combinator is, they’re one of the best accelerators in the world, having helped launch startups globally such as Airbnb, Stripe, Doordash, Coinbase and more.

The offer will come in two parts:

• Their first equity deal which is worth $125, 000 for 7% of accelerated companies in their batch

• They will now offer a second part of the deal now offers $375,000 in the form of an uncapped SAFE note — which stands for Simple Agreement for Future Equity.

It’s interesting news and will definitely help the startup ecosystem coming into 2022 and beyond!
