It’s been a tough start to the week since I caught a cold on the weekend, so this newsletter has been late to deliver as I have just been resting.

But I’ve been reading some interesting articles, especially one around new studies done on smartphones and some even potentially emitting close to harmful radiation levels (don’t worry, it’s not one of the ‘major’ phones').

Of course, there’s the news about Elon taking over Twitter to so let’s get to it:

• If you haven’t heard, Musk has been given the go-ahead to buy Twitter. Will he actually implement free speech? I guess we’ll find out in the long term. Read here.

• Amazon launches a $1 billion fund called the ‘Industrial Innovation Fund’. Basically, it’s a fund that’s going to focus on providing funding for logistics/customer fulfilment related startups (since no one else wants to invest in this area). Read here.

• Meta just opened its first store to sell us…well, VR headsets LOL. Read here.

• Companies like Google and Meta will need to explain their algorithm in more detail with the new EU legislation. Read here.

• CNN+ shuts down after one month of operation (spent over $300 million on it as well). Read here.
